Semester 2 Week 1 (Library Tour)

DATABASE SEARCHING TECHNIQUES

This morning, we had a very productive class on Database searching techniques. These techniques lead you to search very efficiently and precisely.  Firstly you need to follow and know some instructions to search your keywords and phrases very smartly.

We are given a piece of paper full of instructions and ideas on Database searching techniques, which I'll be posting a scanned copy of it below for future use.

Besides this, I've noted some of the instructions and suggestions provided by my tutor and by one of the library executive staff.

From her view, while searching on google it might not be very accurate in some extend, You might end up getting someone's opinion rather than real fact. Searching smartly with the following principle of searching is handy.

These terms are very new to me, I better research about these technical terms to broaden my concept.

Things to consider for my first 1st assessment.

Inspirational artist for my assignment.
Artist and Painter John Singer Sargent
Andrew Loomis American illustrator

Submitted my assessment I. That includes my inspirational artist, models, and their work. I was in hurry and had to subit my assignment in a very short time. Therefore, couldn't give my best in this one, but I somehow manged to finish it on time and submited to my tutor.

Week 5 Drawing facial features

Drawing facial features

This class was a very important class for me because I need to improve on drawing facial features mainly eyes, ears, nose, and mouth. I know mastering this would take a lot of effort and time. Consistency and hard work are the key elements to become better at something.

Here, I've listed some of the good learning sites to master drawing skills from the internet.

Week 7 Speed up drawing (Model)

Speed up drawing (Model)
Draw your posture and face detail sitting in front of a mirror. Draw the side view of a friend sitting beside you. I drew a face and body and of a classmate Ben. First I drew his posture and gave a defined outline.

While drawing these images, I didn't had a lot more idea on how to draw facial features for a human, Chris suggested that the space between two eyes must be or somehow has to be the size of a single eye.
And while drawing, my eyebrows looked aggressive and that was the comment from my tutor and I made a correction in my first image.

Week 11 Inking

In this class, we mainly used a brush to paint the outline of a hand. Mainly Black ink was used.

I've not used paintings for a very long time, and it was a bit difficult for me to use it , but I still remember the concept and some ideas about it. I need to make some corrections on this, I think the palm on the top left image looks a bit sharp. Smoothing the surface might help. The second image is just a rough outline to start as a sample.

In this class, I was able to do two good pictures so far. one I've handed to my tutor as one of the good pictures. I'm very satisfied with that image, which I haven't captured it at the moment.
