Holiday task 2




Advice from Tutor.

Stop motion animation, who do you wanna work with. a short story only limits to 1 minute long. make simple with high standards. have it really fun and polished with the finished look.

Describe the main story and body any conclusion. Short and sweet.

Mainly discussed what we'll be doing next semester.
Bunch of research and readings focus on the comic and composition of the page with various.
Think about character props and background and have a mindset on how to show them.
Keep on watching lots of animation and tutorials might help.

Class activity:
Watched some of the storyboarding videos of my classmates. everyone had a unique way of presenting their story either by voice-over or by sketches or background music.
I realized that I definitely lack some of the sound clips and dialogue. And Its good to include starting cover and ending one with credits for the making of the storyboarding.

Blog Review:
I consider myself an average guy to update the blog. I have no previous experience in writing blogs neither reviewing my thoughts in English. But somehow I have improved a bit in terms of understanding and managed to do the task. I have mostly worked on my blogs in the last days. which I realize not a good thing to do. I won't be repeating the same from the next academic session.

Bugs and Errors.
I have faced a couple of errors while using the Toonboom storyboarding pro software. I even lost a couple of good work in which I had put lots of time and effort. But I take it positively since it made me do again which is good for me.

Week 8 thumbnailing

What is Animation Thumbnail?

These are the collection of small sketches that are combined with brief notes, they are used to capture ideas for a story or character. This helps to preserve memory and ideas for the character or story. These are fully drawn images and can be manipulated over time. Thumbnails are started by doing rough sketches.

In this image, I wanted to make use of the perspective angle in a very rough way. A stick figure at the back is a ninja about to chase my main character Alisha.

These resources in college drive are extremely important, It makes your concept and understanding clear and leads you to work accordingly.

week 7 Visual literacy Storyboard Pro

Using Storyboard Pro software

Since there was a limited license product for the software I wasn't able to use them for a couple of weeks. Instead, I searched for some tutorials and mostly observed what was taught by our tutor.

Later on, When I got to access storyboard, I was a bit slow learning it. First I got to see the tutorial video project file.



This is the example of a video that teaches us how to put stuff together in the appropriate order.


And here is the general script that was written.



"Lost and Found"

EXT. park - DAY

Lenny walks through the park, looking for his beloved pet.

LENNY
Here, Spot -- (whistles) Come on boy, where ya hiding?

Lenny walks a bit further and stops. He slumps.

LENNY
Aw, what's the use? I've looked everywhere...

Lenny droops in despair but perks up when he hears the sound of barking off-screen.

LENNY
Spot? Is it really you?

A spotted bird flies into the scene and approaches Lenny.

SPOT
Ruff ruff!

Lenny holds out his hand and Spot lands on his finger.

LENNY
Aw, good boy, Spot!

Lenny laughs as Spot licks his face.

LENNY
All right, pal...it's been a long day. Time to head home.

Spot starts flapping his wings, pulling Lenny up in the air with him. Lenny and Spot fly up and out of the park, heading toward the setting sun.
