BVA 126 Assignment 1 Character Proposal

I've always been fascinated by a female protagonist in English feature films.
Today my story illustrates how a woman can be a superhero and have all those special abilities like men and fights a villain like a bad ass country girl.

Alisa, originally born in Green bay, Wisconsin, USA. currently lives with her mom Cathy Lamborne in Ontario, Canada. Alisa and her mom had to leave their house when she was just 6 yrs. old. Her father was a very abusive drunken bastard. She has a little brother named Ben currently leaves with their dad.

Alisa's mom owns a tiny tailor shop and hardly makes any dollars to feed her family. But lovely Alisa helps her every day after returning from school.
She is physically small, weak and mostly gets bullied by classmates at school. She is unable to do anything to overcome it. During her early childhood she gets physically tortured by her own dad and got beaten up so badly that she can't even forget, the scar and thoughts remain till her present day.

One day while she was returning from a school, she gets kidnapped by some bad guys under the command of a name called Orlo the Skull Man second leader of a Prison gang, USA.   She is imprisoned in a filthy dark cell and gets frequently hypnotized (with good thoughts about her dad). The goal here was to make her get back to his dad. Alisha becomes very weak fragile, suddenly, a shadow ninja appears from the tunnel and rescues her. She is taken back to some old Buddhist Gumba/Monastery. Later the ninja revealed itself becoming a Chinese lady Kungfu Master and a sword fighter.

Alisa stays with her and calls lady The Master. There, she gets to learn sword fighting, karate lessons and mediates as a daily Buddhist ritual practice. And finally, she is enlightened with superpowers to enter someone's mind and flashback the past.

But her biggest fear is that she often sees a dream of her childhood when she was tortured by her dad and bullied in school. So, this turns out to be her weakness.

She applies this supernatural power to every abusive person’s mind and makes them realize the trauma or a fear of a victim. Later she decides to fight against those bad guys and take revenge. She designs her outfit and takes permission to leave, she asks for a blessing from her master. The Master hands over her with a sword. She believes that what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.
Alisa leaves, The Clash begins, while fighting those guys, Alisa discovers that The Skull Man is her dad and his brother is working for him. Despairingly, her brother manages to escape.
The final battle begins. She encounters The Skull Man and uses her power to enters in his mind and make him realize the pain that she suffered previously in her childhood.

Finally, the man realizes, he is on his knees, and he asks for forgiveness. Alisha forgives him and returns to her mom.

Week 1,2,3

Week 1

Write about yourself.

My name is Akshay Shrestha and I'm 25 yrs old. I was originally born in the Midwestern region of Nepal that is Pyuthan. Later, I was brought and raised in the city of Nepal. I completed my high school from a boarding school.

Later, I had some basic training on visual effects where I was taught how to perform tasks based on Rotoscoping, Chroma Keying, 3D Camera tracking, and compositing. I've spent more than 4 years of working experience in this field but I didn't find it progressive in terms of learning, I was not learning new skills and was rather doing the same jobs like rotoscoping, matte painting, camera track repeatedly.

I am a Creative and outdoor person. I like to draw, sketch, play guitar. Doing outdoor exercises such as running, exercising and gym which helps to relax and broaden my mind.

Though English is not our first language, I am very passionate and curious about learning it. I believe in progressing learning and hardworking.

It has been one of the best decision to choose New Zealand for further education.  It's a very different experience here, Everything here is well organized and systematic. College is equipped with modern facilities such as high-speed computers and peripheral devices. The courses are taught by highly professional tutors in a very practical way.
First of all, the education and teaching methods here is completely different with compared to ours, We still follow bookish learning and very traditional teaching methods. which I find very outdated and wrong practice.

My future plan is to work in a creative industry as a visual effects artist or an animator. I'll have an opportunity to learn the right way of executing software.s I believe the knowledge and skill I gained from SIT will hopefully make me a very competitive and skillful person.

Every class is running very smoothly so far, but I feel like I'm not familiar with the studying and teaching methods, as this is my first attempt to study overseas.

Week 3

SIT  Library tour.

Sit Library has lots of facilities to provide for its students. A lady gathered us and gave an hour of instruction on how to search for an article, ebooks and learning resources from the SIT library online. In my opinion, I found this very helpful as a student.

Nowadays, most of the material and articles are available online. This puts an ease to students to broaden their learning capacity as well as literacy skills. By following the professional and experienced authors who have inscribed valuable information can lead us to the right path. This subsequently helps students to complete their assignments.

Tips for using library resources online.

While searching you can include key terms and terminology for your search.
If books are not available in the library, it can be ordered from other campuses.

  • Physical books at the library are listed according to the specific number with their respected fields.
  • Must be handed in time else students will be charged extra cost for delaying.
  • You are permitted to take many books at once.
  • Time for returning books can be extended for two weeks at a time.
