Story writing Week 1,2

week 1

Introduction to character
How do you make the audience care about the character?
What do people usually do in a crisis?
A character might be anything like rats, cars, toys, Robot that we follow through the whole story. The lessons they learn, challenges they face and the feelings they shared by the audience

week 2
Story structure

For a better movie

-Foundation and structure are important. For example:

It’s a creative way of telling stories with funny jokes and Punch lines that make sense. A mushroom goes to a discotheque asking girls to dance, everyone he requests rejects with a big "No"  A mushroom gets very embarrassed and goes to bartender and says "Nobody wants to dance with me since I am a fungi" (fun guy).

The story illustrates how a simple phrase can build a whole story keeping in mind that structure is important.

-the emotional impact that you want on your audience is essential.

Important moment. the story beats- refreshes,

Story Spine

gradually build a story.

must carry a message/ moral.

-theme/ Moral
deeper message it carries, identity, the reason for the character let go what they want. The need
might not be always positive.

Structure
basically consists of 3 acts

"antagonist" word learned!

act 1 General introduction to the character, maybe show their happiness and comfort moment.

act 2
make things hard for character/ obstacles/ growth/
overcome/ get skilled
low point or may fail

act 3
satisfying resolution on many levels
sets the world right
overcome the obstacles/ might come in surprise/ unexpected ending

Work backward/ reading the main foundation for developing stories

Activity 1

Part A
Three of my favorite films and moral of the story.
Cars 3
Hard work and consistent efforts pay off/ leads you to success.
Must believe in yourself to win or succeed.
Believing someone who you think worth a lot.
Its never too late to start a new journey.
Home
The antagonist are always not bad.
Always remember important tasks.
The relationship is very important

Act 1( Back story)
Story developed by me that illustrates the moral and what we can learn from it.
Once there lived a lady named Geeta. She had a son named Abisekh. Geeta is very religious and goes to the temple every day. Everyday Geeta struggles to raise his son She would do anything to make her son happy.
Abisekh is naughty and doesn't listen to his mom at all He spends most of his time playing with his friends and isn't serious all.

Act 2
Time passes by, Abishek is fully grown up now, and he slowly understands the situation of his mom, how she struggles to make every penny and save for him. Abishek always wanted to be a well-trained Chef, But the tuition fee is a way too expensive. Therefore, he decides to work But fails to make enough money to afford his education.

Act 3
As Geeta was returning back from the temple, she meets a strange man with a beard and dirty clothes, he talks with him and asks her to go with her, The man shows her all the treasure he has collected and offers Geeta to have one. But Geeta refuses it. She believes that only handwork and dedication can make you successful.

1. During her training session, she faces a ton of difficulties. The practice session is very tough and stressful. she learns every poses for karate. Her vision is clear and her punches are accurate.  there she fights with the master to become stronger, the teacher is very impressed by her performance.
